Job Description	:	Position: Senior Actuary Company: Reinsurance Organization Location: Nova Scotia Job ID: 17291 RESPONSIBILITIES: - Would be responsible for reserving several corporate subsidiaries – this includes but is not limited to: - Preparation of quarterly reserve analysis and reports. - Tracking of pricing and exposure movements. - Preparation of statutory documents for the various agencies/domiciles/environments. - Would work closely with the Chief Reserving Actuary in compiling and monitoring corporate reserve activity and reporting both internal and external. - Participate in meetings with various regulatory and rating agencies as need. - Assist in preparation of board materials for quarterly and annual meetings. QUALIFICATIONS: - A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mathematics or actuarial sciences. - Must be currently enrolled in the examinations or have completed a professional Actuarial designation (CAS or SOA). - A minimum of ten years of related actuarial experience. - Must have a thorough understanding of the nature of reinsurance risks and the exposures and issues presented by different markets worldwide.
